ABOUT ME — ALEX MOSHKOVICH
As a student, I left the Soviet Union with two suitcases and just $10 in my pocket, which I had earned on my way to Israel. I had to start a new life in a new country, adapt to an unfamiliar capitalist system, and find my way without speaking the language. I earned a master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and held senior positions at prestigious companies. It seemed that I had made it! But life took another turn, and I immigrated once again—this time to Canada. I arrived in Toronto with my family, including three young children, to start all over again.
I joined a large company and earned a six-figure salary, yet money was still desperately tight. Then I came across Rich Dad Poor Dad. Reading it made me realize that, halfway through my life, I was doing something wrong. I began looking for information and people who could help me escape the “rat race.” Soon, I was invited to a seminar where I met investors and discovered an intriguing strategy for making money through real estate. I took action. In just two years, I purchased four houses without investing a cent of my own money!
I continued working in my field, but my dissatisfaction and frustration with my work kept growing. Despite excellent working conditions and a generous salary, something was missing. Let me explain what I was thinking and feeling.

Новую жизнь в новой стране, с новой для меня капиталистической системой пришлось начинать без знания языка. Я закончил университет со степенью Магистра математики и компьютерных наук, работал в престижных компаниях и на высоких должностях. Казалось, жизнь удалась! Но судьба сложилось так, что я совершил ещё одну эмиграцию, уже в Канаду. Я прилетел в Торонто со своей семьёй, с тремя маленькими детьми, чтобы опять начать все сначала.
Although many people might have seen my situation as a great success, I did not feel that way. I felt like a small cog in a huge bureaucratic machine. I could not shake the thought that my company was making money through the efforts of hundreds of people like me, each playing a small role. The moment I left, another “cog” would take my place. An even greater source of frustration was the limited opportunity for professional growth. And I still did not have financial independence. You see, I simply could not get some of Robert Kiyosaki’s ideas out of my head.
He taught me the importance of building my own business and taking charge of my life. He opened my eyes to the personal freedom that comes with following that path.
I wanted to take control of my life by building my own business.
I wanted to live life on my own terms.
I wanted to attract my own potential clients… for my own business!
I decided to teach my clients what I had learned and put into practice myself. Starting from scratch, I created Investor Forum and began educating investors.
That was in 2013. Just five years later, despite a downturn in the real estate market, my company had joined the top 1% of the most successful real estate companies in Canada. We helped hundreds of clients start investing in real estate, while I continued to grow my own investment portfolio.
Many people worry about dealing with tenants. I have 17 of them. I achieved financial freedom, but what matters most is that some of my clients have done the same—and even surpassed me.
So… I have shared only a small part of my story.
